Celebrating 50 Years of Innovation

CCSSO
Since 1971, the National Conference on Student Assessment (NCSA) has been the trusted forum for assessment practitioners to learn and reflect upon current and emerging trends in education and educational assessments. Each year, this highly anticipated conference run by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) attracts more than 1,000 attendees from across the country, including individuals and leaders from federal, state, and district agencies, as well as test publishers and administrators, educational consultants, university faculty and other experts who support technology, education and business assessments.

In 2021, NCSA celebrates more than 50 years of innovation, spanning five decades of tremendous change in the field of student assessment. Assessment data has increasingly informed major education decisions tied to accountability and school improvement and the methods used to communicate student achievement information have changed dramatically. During the conference, participants will share reflections, best practices, strategies, research studies, resources, and innovative methods to measure student learning and support districts and schools to ensure the educational progress of all students.
